No — these trips are exclusively for students. Only Rugger Educational Tours chaperones will accompany the group. Parent participation is not permitted. All chaperones are experienced educators who work in schools and have years of experience supervising students on field trips and overnight events. Your child will be in safe, professional hands at all times.

One of the most valuable aspects of this experience is giving students a sense of the independence that college life requires. Exploring campuses without a parent present helps students better assess how a school feels for them—socially, academically, and emotionally. Once your child has identified the type of college they connect with, we absolutely encourage you to visit that campus together as a family.

All meals during the trip, transportation, hotel lodging, campus visits, supervision by experienced educational chaperones, and private hotel security during overnight stays.

Yes—each tour is led by certified New York State educators, including licensed teachers and school administrators. Additionally, private overnight security is provided at all hotels to ensure student safety throughout the trip.

For an additional fee on the majority of our trips you can add cancelation protection. This allows you to cancel anytime before departure for a full refund, minus a small non-refundable registration fee depending on the total cost of the trip.

Yes! Parents who refer a new family that books a tour will receive a $25 referral reward. The reward is issued after the referred family fully books and pays for their tour. It’s our way of showing appreciation for helping us grow.
